Clinton Health Access Initiative
In 2002, President Clinton established the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) to turn the tide of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the developing world. Today, CHAI agreements enable access to affordable drugs and diagnostics to more than 70 countries, and staff work on-the-ground in more than 20 countries to help scale up care and treatment. More than 2 million people living with HIV/AIDS are now on lifesaving antiretroviral treatments purchased under CHAI agreements.Feature Stories
